Information on Exemption

MPhil and PhD Admissions 2019 :  GU-RET 2019

for admission into MPhil and PhD Programme (Autumn Session) of the Academic Year 2019-20

Exemption Information

  1. Exemption from appearing in GU-RET 2019 does NOT automatically guarantee admission into the MPhil-PhD Programme.

  2. All GU-RET 2019 qualified and exempted applicants MUST appear in the Counselling Session of the respective department, failing to which will necessarily imply rejection of admission.

  3. Admission to MPhil-PhD programme for exempted applicants is limited to at most 50% (fifty percent) of the advertised / available vacancy position in the concerned subjects under a department.
  1. The Counselling Process may have an Academic Interview / Test / Presentation / Group Discussion etc., which carry marks, which will be considered for exempted applicants in the concerned disciplines.

  2. An exempted applicant may be denied admission, if found NOT suitable during the Counselling Process.

  3. All exempted students CAN appear in GU-RET 2019 to claim admission in case, they may be unable to get admission through exemption.

  4. All exempted applicants MUST produce the original Letter of Award of the respective fellowship at the Counselling Session and prove its authenticity beyond doubt and MUST establish the Validity of the Award on the date of Counselling.
