Semester 3
  1. You need to choose one from Elective Group I and one from Elective Group II
  2. For every (E) paper you choose from Group I, you need to take the corresponding Lab Paper - Adv Lab I
  3. For every (E) paper you choose from Group II, you need to take the corresponding Lab Paper - Adv Lab II
  4. For every (T) paper you choose from Group I, you need to take a paper (any) from Elective Group III
  5. For every (T) paper you choose from Group II, you need to take one more paper (any one left) from Elective Group III

Semester 4
  1. The elective papers that you have chosen from Group I and II in 3rd Semester will continue to the corresponding papers from Group IV and V in 4th Semester. You CAN NOT change, so decide judiciously in 3rd Semester.
  2. Apart from the above, you MUST now take a paper (any one) from Group VI, of which a dissertation is a part.
  3. If you are interested in dissertation in 4th Semester, you MUST opt it now. Also, the dissertation paper is offered ONLY on the basis of a separate selection.

The allotment will be done on the basis of your preference and marks from the 1st Semester, MSc Physics.
