Gauhati University has been presently accredited as a NAAC A-Grade institution.
NSS Award
Gauhati University has been selected for the prestigious NSS Award for the year 2019-20, which is being received the Honourable Vice Chancellor of GU and the Programme Coordinator of NSS Cell, GU from the Honourable President of India at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, on 24th September, 2021.
GU is among the two universities selected for this award in the entire country.
Green Champion Award
Gauhati University has been awrded the District Green Champion Award for the year 2021-22 for its exemplery work for encouraging environment preservation in the campus and in the nearby areas.
