Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP)

Progression

The progression during the whole course structure is shown in the figure below. There are three pathways to the doctoral course or PhD course:

1. After 3-Year Bachelor Degree
   After a 3-Year Bachelor Degree, a student can take admission in the 2-Year Masters Course and advance to doctoral program. This pathway is similar to what we have now.

2. After 4-Year Bachelor Degree with Honours
   Students completing a 4-Year Bachelor Degree with Honours will take admission into the second year of Masters program and can advance to the doctoral program.

3. After 4-Year Bachelor Degree with Honours and Research
   This pathway is for only exceptional students who can directly advance to a doctoral program right after graduation. So, there shall be a necessary qualifier process which will ensure that only high quality motivated students can take this pathway. All other students must go through the second year Masters program in order to be able to take admission in a doctoral program.
